Chapter Overview
Surah Yaseen is the eighteenth chapter in the Class 9 Tarjama Tul Quran curriculum. Commonly referred to as the "Heart of the Quran", it is a Makki Surah that strongly establishes the core principles of Islam: the truth of Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) prophethood, the oneness of Allah, and the certainty of resurrection and the afterlife.
The Surah tells the story of the "People of the Town" who rejected the messengers sent to them, leading to their swift destruction. It presents various natural signs—like the greening of dead earth, night and day, the orbit of the sun and moon, and ships traversing the sea—as proofs of Allah's creative power and ability to resurrect the dead.
